Simple Ghost decoration

With an old t-shirt, a clean (and empty) applesauce cup and string, I made this cute ghost. This is something kids of all ages an do.

Take an old t-shirt and cut the back of it out. Cut off all the seams and straighten the edges. Don't worry if the cut edges are ragged as it will just add character to the ghost. My t-shirt fabric ended up rectangular in shape. Cut a tiny hole in the center of the fabric.

Poke a hole in the bottom of the apple sauce cup. Tie the ends of the string together in a knot then pass the string through the hole in the cup so that the knot is IN the cup. Pass the string through the hole in the t-shirt, then knot the string right above the hole.

Now decorate the ghost however you please: eyes, markers, ribbons or whatever. I added eyes to mine and left the rest plain. This is something that can be hung inside or out.

  1. Great for the younger crowd... or for mass production by older kids. You could probably even let the little ones cut out the fabric if you drew the circle!

  2. I did a rectangle for a more ragged look but a circle could work.
