Simple Prayers

We have two simple prayers that my son and I use fairly often. The first is a mealtime prayer.

Lords and Ladies
of harvest and beast
bless all that take part
in this feast.

While this prayer is simple to remember, it is wide in scope. It not only blesses the food, the cook and those eating the meal, but anyone who remotely had a hand in getting the food to the table like the farmer or rancher, the truck driver, the person who made the plates/silverware, etc.

The second on is a prayer that my son says before bed. I have even been known to use it when I'm extremely tired before bed. The names used below can be replaced by the deity or deities of your choice.

Artemis, Apollo, Zeus
help me to
sleep well
be well
do well
so mote it be
