What a wonderful Equinox!

Several months ago I signed my boys up for a workshop with a bunch of homeschoolers in our state. We decided to do our 'group' ritual next weekend (where we get together with some other Pagan families) and we would do our family ritual tomorrow. So, my boys and I spent the day at a workshop with their group of homeschoolers. They learned how to make drums. It was such a great time as the kids learned to stretch the skins (they also tye-dyed them) and paint their drums. I brought my wood burning tool and the boys selected some Pagan Symbols and I etched them in....It took several hours (as there was about 50 kids there) but the best part was after the project was done. The kids (at my boys' urgings) decided to do a drum circle. My youngest, Xman who just turned 7 last week, told the kids as they sat down outside that we needed to welcome Spring, that our drumming would 'shake up the seeds and get them to grow'. So the kids did their first ever drum circle! They played at it for about 30 minutes, each child taking turns with determining the pattern for the music. Then we all packed up our stuff. Just as everyone said goodbye one of the younger kids shouts "Look Mommy," we all look (as most of us go by that title..lol.) and directly overhead there is a partial rainbow! It has been a beautiful day here, with zero clouds in the sky. My youngest started cheering that the Gods heard us and were giving us a blessing for Spring (probably freaking out the mostly Christian group!)....What a wonderful day!!!
